Our Mission and Vision

Our Motto from Matthew 2:9

Bright Star Community Church – A Star in the West Leading People To CHRIST

Our Vision (What is Our Driving Ideal?) from Acts 2:42-47

Bright Star Community Church exists to be a place where people can:

  • Learn about God
  • Experience the Presence of God
  • Serve God with a Sincere Heart and
  • Save Souls that are Lost for Christ

Our Mission (What Are We Doing?) from Romans 15:1-2 & Eph. 2:10

Bright Star Community Church seeks to Develop Strong Families, Improve the Lives of Young People and
Change the Face of the Community.

Our Values (How Are We Doing It?) from Philippians 2:1-18

Bright Star Community Church will stand BOLD for Jesus Christ in our Community and throughout the World
as Jesus Stood BOLD for us, therefore we will be: Brave, Obedient, Loving and Devoted.

Brave from 1 Chronicles 28:20

“Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God,
is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD
is finished.

Obedient from Luke 11:28

Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

Loving from Mark 12:30-31 & 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

Love God, Love People.
Love is patient, love is kind. It down not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is
not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but
rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserveres. Love never fails.

Devoted from Colossians 3:15-17

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms,
hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all
in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
